The Experience

I take a playful approach to candid and posed shots, creating natural scenes that reflect your personalities as a family alongside classic portraits. My day job as a teacher (specialising in 1-to-1 SEND students) has equipped me to get alongside the whole family, make everyone comfortable and capture the fun of the moment.

Piggy backs, bubble machines, big laughs, funny faces and family activities are as important to me as getting everyone looking at the camera and smiling. 

I want everyone - children, parents and pets! -  to have an amazing time shooting with me. I create a comfortable environment for everyone to have fun in and capture your joy in real-time. This approach makes the most of people's energy and keeps everyone smiling all day. Photo shoots can be tiring but with me the memories of the shoot can be as precious as the pictures you get at the end!

LET’S CHAT! A free 30 minute consultation call to discuss your location(s), desired shots, props and anything else so we can make the most of shooting on the day and get the best results for you!

PLACE YOUR DEPOSIT! Half of the fee for your shoot will save your date in the diary with me.

SHOOT TIME! We’ll be in touch to iron out any details and then we’ll take your precious pictures. A standard shoot allows for 2 hours of time together or an extended shoot allows 4 hours - moving between posed locations with lots of time to capture natural moments in between.

SIT BACK AND WAIT FOR YOUR EDITS! I will put lots of love and care into getting these perfect for you. Within three weeks I will get you an initial sample of photos so we can discuss the edits and confirm that it’s everything you wanted from your shoot.

FINAL ALBUM DELIVERED! I will send you a digital album of high resolution photos which you are able to share on social media, print for your home or an album as you please. Small re-edits can be discussed but larger changes such as a full re-edit will come at an additional fee.

Family photos are forever - so many homes I enter are decorated with family photo shoots from various time periods and often reflect the photography trends of the era they were taken in; for example, my parents have bright white, very exposed, studio-setting photos with wrinkles airbrushed and eyes brightened. You can tell that they were taken in the 2010s! Of course, there is nothing wrong with this style, but when I was experimenting to find my own personal style, I wanted to reflect something more timeless, which led me back to the origins of photography: film. 

To give the maximum flexibility and get the best outcomes for clients I use digital cameras, allowing me to take a more nuanced approach and keep colours more true to life than film would allow me to. 

I keep the spirit of film: the mild grain, the gentle and warm tones, the nostalgia. I value capturing you exactly as you are! I keep the essence of you and your family, and set it in beautiful, timeless hues and textures, inspired by film photography.
